Chronophotography Series attempts to fragment these images—already somewhat taxidermied in the history of photography and cinema—and reconnect the pieces through Korean traditional embroidery and patchwork. In this series, the single photograph is no longer a fleeting moment. The girl, like a bird, continues to soar, each stitch marking the passage of time in her flight.
< 연속사진 > 연작은 사진과 영화의 역사 속에서 이미 일종의 박제가 이루어진 이미지들을 분절한 뒤, 전통 자수와 조각보 바느질이라는 행위를 통해 파편들을 다른 방식으로 연결해 보는 시도이다. < 연속사진 >에서 사진 한 장은 더 이상 찰나의 순간이 아니며, 소녀는 마치 한 마리의 새처럼, 한 땀씩 수를 놓고 바느질하는 시간만큼 멈추지 않고 날아오른다.
